Atlantis: Hidden Civilisation

This is my entry for the first unofficial CGTalk Matte Painting Challenge.
I tried to capture a mystic mood putting atlantis into this underwater cave with some lightrays coming through an entrance. The hole in the cave's ceiling was caused by an eruption of a nearby vulcano, which lead to the revelation of atlantis.
The city was painted alive to give the image some more interest.

About 60% of this Matte are painted or at least painted over. A special quest was to get the tower in the right foreground to look similar to the ones in the background giving the whole image some scale.
